I'm so happy!

So I wake up this morning to sunshine, feeling really rested. This is completely abnormal. The rested part, not the sunshine. I do live in California. Laura left early this morning I didn't even see her before I stepped out into the sunshine for my own commute. Ominous clouds hang overhead as the Bart train enters the SF Bay tunnel. I pay no mind. Afterall, the mid morning sun will be up shortly (ahhhh California) so I'm expecting these wisps of clouds to be pulverized shortly by a lot of sunshine.

Enhanced Powerbook Speakers

Laura was having trouble hearing the latest episodes of Hell's Kitchen, so I pepped up the laptop speakers a bit.

Eagle Library Part: TLC5940

The TLC5940 from Texas Instruments is a neat chip. It can sink up to 17 volts and 120mA per output, driving up to 16 LEDs (or rows of LEDs, a matrix) at full brightness. It has 12 bit per channel pulse width modulation (PWM), which means 4096 levels of brightness control.

The Incredible Message Machine

Here's one of my earliest projects, a fun messaging machine with an LCD and some random flashing LEDs. The action starts around 0:20, sorry I really should trim this vid.

VGA Learning Driver

This very simple Parallax Propeller VGA driver attempts to explore the basics of the VGA signal and how to drive it using the Propeller's useful WAITVID instruction.
