As an avid gamer, I feel that I must point out that we are rapidly approaching zombie overload. A point in time where zombies go from being cool to passé. So I'm writing this blog post now, to warn Valve, lest they fall into the trap of making content that nobody wants to buy.

I mean sure, this guy here looks like a mean enemy. I really want to kill him. But I have no idea why! The zombie apocalypse featured in every zombie game and movie is exactly the same. It requires no creative storytelling, no imagination.

Something (always unexplained exactly what) causes dead people to rise. Dead guy is attacking me. Duuur I better get something to fight with. Let's go hide in the mall...

The mark of a truly excellent game is originality and storytelling. Zombies just don't have these qualities.

Lighting Effects Dimmer Box

Laura is a photographer who has returned to school to learn all about cinematography. She asked me to build a brightness control gadget for studio lights. So for her birthday I built one.

Top 5 Songs From Nerd Media

The music in various nerd friendly TV shows and video games is highly underrated. Here's my picks for the top 5 songs in all of nerd media.

#5 is a surprise hit called "My Angel Put The Devil In Me" in the middle of a rather humdrum episode of Doctor Who, "Daleks in Manhattan". It makes up for the irritating voice in the rest of the 2 part episode. Sexy!

Shake Break!

Sometimes you just have to take a break from electronics and computers and just have a nice milkshake. Thanks to my mother in law Linda, we can make shakes right here at home!

Mmmmmm
Mmmmmm

Hmm as I drink this I realize, you know what would be super useful? A robot that makes milkshakes!
