Day 10: Cooking BBs. Here's the SparkFun temperature controller I mention in the video. So here we have it, one hundred Bumble-Bs in ten days! During the ten days, I sold about thirty units, and then replaced these parts from mouser.com, so we could actually get a lovely picture of 100 in the end. Thanks to everyone for the support! Two units didn't work and I can't explain why just by inspecting the units. It's likely they were overcooked. Those two batches were the second half of the run of 10, and I didn't quite let the hotplate cool enough before starting. So we'll call it 98% success. The videos all ended up focusing on the technical aspects of building BumbleBs. I wanted to talk a bit more about the business end. I planned on describing how this process I use to make boards translates into an actual working business. So I'll write a wrap-up post within a couple days and touch upon a few things I didn't get to talk about in the video. |
